Him

by Natasha   Aug 9, 2006

A beautiful stranger
Waltzed into my life.
He's strong and he's fast and
With him I feel no strife.

He gazes at me strangely,
When he thinks that I can't see.
I asked him out once, I think.
He wanted nothing to do with me.

He asked me out this morning,
And I readily said yes.
I'd waited at the restaurant,
At midnight I'm a mess.

He finally appears then,
He finds me in my mess.
He told me that he loved me.
Well, sort of--more or less.

He's brought me to an alley,
I'm still too stunned to speak.
His gaze on mine is hungry,
And he's making my knees weak.

His lips curl back to snarl,
I'm finally shown his fangs.
His eyes grow red with blood lust
But my heart is filled with pangs.

My heart's blood will flow freely,
My life ended; he won,
But as I die I forgive him...
His evil deed is done.
