Heaven on earth

by diary   Aug 10, 2006

I had a vision that i was staring into a clearing, and there i was seeing, a heaven
in hell

if ever there was a moment like a living heaven i would take a picture
and in a second, capture a moment that'll last a lifetime

if ever there was a moment such as a tangible heaven, i would only touch it softly.
and leave the angels to their clouds so loftly, for my moment is better than anything
i could have

and i think that everyday, that feels like hell
isn't nearly as hard, as livin in hell
and i think if there really is such a thing as hell,
and can't be worse, then the life we failed

your fingertips have a memory, and you can't
forget the feelings you reminisce so often,or the lessons
when you were naughty and naive
you stare at the mirror, then you stare at the picture,
and you see it clearer
like it was yesterday

if ever there was a heaven on earth,
i wish it was in my own backyard
i wouldn't sell the land for more than it's worth
i couldn't trade pure happiness for all the hurt in the world
for bliss not being so far
because i got me heaven in my own backyard

and i think that everyday, that feels like hell
isn't nearly as hard, as livin in hell
and i think if there really is such a thing as hell,
and can't be worse, then the life we failed
