something you did make me cling to the past,

was hardly a day till you were with someone new.

i can't quite say why i still love you,
because you never treated me right,
i was always alone, every night.

yet if you told me you'd changed your mind,

and now in this love triangle i am caught.

i hate her for taking you away from me,
i always thought I'd be the one to see you get down on one knee,
but it's not me you want to marry, it's her.

people say "you don't realize how much,
you love someone until they're gone,"
i hoped this would work for you and me,
because i long to once again feel your touch.

but now i know there's no getting over you,
