I Can Not Cry

I lay in bed
and think of you
but no tears fall
as they usually do
i lost you
and found you again
but nothing could be
as it once had been.
and so i say good-bye to you
deep down i am sad
but i can no longer cry for what we lost
Ive cried all the tears i had.
i think of all the good times
that together we shared
and though i no longer believe you loved me
i know that you cared.
I'm strangely calm for letting go at last
i held on so long without even realizing how much time had passed
I'm sorry no more tears can fall for you
I'm sorry though I'm sad i cannot cry
I'm grateful i had you in my life
but its time to say good-bye.
