Sitting Here(For President Bush)

I'm sitting here full of anger.
And my mind is just blank.
I dont know how to express
A confusion combined with hate.

I'm sitting here full of sadness
As I watch our soldiers die.
The smile on your face sickens me
As you walk straight on by.

Into your little office,
All safe and sound from tragedy.
Must be nice to sit down
To a dinner and movie with your family.

I'm sitting here full of wonder
How do you push your feelings aside?
How do you keep from breaking down?
How can you not care for those who died?

"No child left behind"
Is that like your catch phrase?!
18 years old is not a man yet,
Dying from your mistakes.

"9/11 was a terrible attack"
They why didn't you try to prevent?
I know you had some indication
How can you call yourself our president?

"The bible turns away from the gay"
What happened to equality!?
We're a country of free religion
It doesnt matter if you disagree

What does your family think of you,
Are you all just so damn proud?
Were your fingers crossed
"for the better of the country" you vowed?

I'm sitting here full of hope, for
Your sins are killing us all
But soon enough we will be relieved
To find you buried underneath your faults.

    I love this poem!!! I agree completely with your opinions. I personally can't stand Bush along with the millions of other americans...but yea...equality is very important...and THAT he knows nothing about!

    You know what i agree with this poem... and i agree with you... same sex marriage is somethin people should be able to do and not get ridiculed for... and bush right now in my opinion is an idiot... maybe iraq would have come over maybe not... no one knows but them... unless ur in the gov't or in iraq dont automatically assume u know everything... its based on opinion... but i admire u for standing up to the one who bashed ur poem i stand behind you 100%
