Blood of Wine

by Aline   Aug 10, 2006

I grabbed the cup
And I filled my thirst
Thinking and climbing to the apex
Of a living essence burst.

But I sit and watch-
You swallow the blood
As I imbibe the water
From the sky of God.

And you obtain the star,
And the blue-black sky,
And the beaker of a bar,
In a poor heat blind.

Take the blood of mine
Not to drink a dime.
Change the wine to blood,
But never the blood to wine

This peom was an ohkay poem. but it wasnt all to smooth to run through... in the first stanza your rhyming skeme was abcb.. but in the third stanza it was abac... it made it a little harder to stay in the poem. but it was still a good poem. :)
