WHEN I WAS SIX...

by Katrina Anne   Aug 11, 2006

WHEN I WAS SIX YEARS OLD THE WORLD SEEMED LIKE A SAFE PLACE.
A PLACE WHERE NO ONE WOULD MAKE ME CRY.
UNTIL THE DAY I FOUND,
THE ONE THING I COULDN'T DENY.
YOU!

SET UP TO BELIEVE IN ALL YOUR LIES.
TO BELIEVE THAT EVERYTHING WOULD BE ALRIGHT.
AND NOW I'M STUCK IN A WORLD,
OF DISBELIEF AND FANTASIES.
NOT SURE WHATS REAL FROM FAKE
SCARED TO MOVE FORWARD.
ALL BECAUSE OF YOU!

I NEVER THOUGHT THIS WOULD HAPPEN.
THAT YOU WOULD HURT ME.
AT THE AGE OF SIX, I NEEDED YOU!
AT THE AGE OF 18, I DON'T CARE!
YOU LEFT ME,
FILLED MY HEAD WITH SILLY THOUGHTS

LIES, BETRAYAL
THE ONLY TWO THINGS YOU REALLY TAUGHT ME.
AND,
THE ONLY THINGS I THINK OF,
WHEN I THINK OF YOU,
DAD!
