My Dear Little Mikey,
one who was never understood.
Loved by all who is around him,
and by all who could.
Though distant in mind,
very close to heart.
A precious little angel,
Who shall never part.
Shadows cast upon him
from the day he was born,
Yet he makes the sun shine bright,
and keeps our hearts warm.
His laughter rings strong
in the depths of our hearts,
His tears how they pain us
the moment they start.
But his soul young and pure
brings our minds to a calm,
For God was there to keep him from harm.
The love that he gives
though he is unaware,
Proved to us all
just how much he cares.
As the years go by
we are sure to say,
Mikey will brighten
our everyday.
The things he will teach us,
We each have our own lesson,
Will only reassure us
That he is God's blessing.
We thank you God
from the heavens above,
For giving us Mikey
forever to love.
He loves us back
each and everyday,
Though many a time
It is hard for him to say.
Be we know in our hearts
and deep in our soul,
That Mikey will forever
