In the darkness of night

For so long I had lost trust
A trust of a long lost born Truth

I was left with no light
in the mist of the darkness of night
Like a black silk it has covered my life.

Every night I would kneel
beside my bed
and face the darkness of the night
With my hands
held up to the only hope
and light I knew of.

To the stars and the moon
I made promise.
To the sun I asked and
To God I pledged.

Every morrow I waited Patiently
For a hand, a word, a gesture, a smile.
but did disappointment cover my thought and soul.

I in return smiled
Upon the sorrow
That I would not leave control of.
Thus it hath taken over my heart.

Like a tree with no leave
I'm in this world of Autumn.
Like a rose
I'm in a desert of thorn.
I bleed, I hurt, I feel
yet to the world
I'm but a puppet.
A happy and carefree soul
I show that I only know of.

My heart suffers, grieves,
For something that I own not.
My dreamy eyes
Is always in search
of that face to hold
for that touch to feel
for it shall not rest
till, it bestows upon
what it most desires.

One day, my dear creatures
Just like every other night.
To the stars and the moon
I made promise
To the sun I asked
To God I pledged
And what a pleasure
did it bring to thy heart when it did come true.

When that face
I had painted on the canvas of my heart
I saw in my dream.
for the touch, I yearned for
I felt upon my heart.
For that smile I had been tortured
for , I grasped
for that breath and smell
that I inhaled in.
for those eyes, that my eyes
had been so restless for.

For him that all my poems
had failed to capture

I found him in my stories
in my poems
in the desert of my heart
and the wisdom of my mind.

He is me, And I him
in his heart where I have found home.
In his hand where
I am freed
In his presence
I thrive
and in his love I bloom.

In his land I'm a citizen
and in his love I am a native.
