Overcoming the War

by Briana   Aug 11, 2006

A soft chill nears my skin
Gradually increasing in intensity
As eutrophia flutters away from inside
And abruptly escapes from my sight

A gust of wind retrains me from beauty
While each petal of me decomposes
Once the sun shone so brightly and wasn\'t difficult to sense
But the once-strong rays are so distant to me now

A void exsists within my misguided heart
Devouring me peice by peice as I slip into a trap
But then a slight splash of light catches my eye
Reminding me that where there is hollowness, there is hope
