Raindrops

by Natalie   Aug 12, 2006

With every raindrop that falls
on to the warm cement
I'll think of the moments
Spent with you

Every raindrop on my lips
I think of every kiss
Pecks after class
And longer ones in private

Every raindrop on my body
The coolness on my skin
Reminds me of every warm embrace
Every gentle caress

Every raindrop on my eyelashes
I feel the heaviness of the water
I think of the butterfly kisses
All over your body

Every raindrop on my ears
Reminds me of the gentle nibbles
During movies
And those three sweet words

Every raindrop tells me it is over
Every sensation with you is gone
And although I cannot see the sun
I know it is there

The sun is hiding behind stormy clouds
Waiting for me to be ready
To bathe in new love
To refresh myself with warmer kisses
