Her Eyes

by Erica   Aug 12, 2006

She cried herself to sleep that night,
That night that her soul died
Screaming questions in the air,
Like "why God must I cry?"
She pleaded to God to give it back,
But God made no proclaim
So she buried her head in her pillow,
Hiding from all the shame

Now her soul is gone,
Her body is all that's left
He took her soul,
He broke her heart
It's now hollow in her chest
Now she goes about her day,
Looking the same as you and I
But nothings the same really,
At least, not in her eyes.
