Mother

by GretaInsideOut   Aug 12, 2006

I need a place to stand
A place to cry
Help me find this place
Way up in the sky

Mother won't you help me?
I reach out with hope
Reach with nothing behind me
But left cold, to cope

There's nothing left to strive for
No humble helping hand
Nothing to save me
Left here in sinking sand

Save me from this downfall
Mother help me please
I know you'll never love me
You'll bring me to my knees

Mother, I'm sorry to have failed you
I never meant this to be
As the shadows fall over me now
Remember, just remember, you could never see.

A powerful piece well written too!

    one suggestion though

    Reach with nothing behind me
    But left cold, to cope

i would change the second line to left cold, alone, to cope

but maybe thats just me but i thought id offer my advices :)
