A Picture Without A Frame

by charlotte alfrey   Aug 12, 2006

I can see you've been waiting a long time on these dark and empty streets

Waiting for someone to show you the way, willing for someone to mend your broken heart In truth all I see and need to believe in is crying eyes

They're all I see each day and night

The answers to all of my dreams shatter with one fragile touch

Everyone I get close to turns their backs as the lights dim again

Then a moment in the midnight skies everything was more than words could explain

Is where I felt we began

You touched a part of me I cant get back and I'm not sure if I want it back at all

I wish you could just give a little bit of yourself to me like a wind giving in

Id take a chance with you and fall

Falling like water in a waterfall

No direction, any way in, with no way out

I cant control how fast we fall but I promise you'll feel everything I give to you

Just take my hand and well fall together and I promise

Ill never let another into the doors of our dreams

Theres nothing that compares to when I'm in your arms

Only when I feel you again by my side running your fingertips through my hair

Theres nothing I can do about feeling how I do

And I know you doubt me sometimes,

Doubt that well last,

Doubt how I could like you like I do

Doubt why I moved so fast

But in truth I didn't move an inch I fall a whole yard for you

Far beyond I hold on to you with every dying breath

Ive never felt like I do and I'm sorry if its nothing like you expected

I doubt my every move because I doubt everything I feel close

I'm afraid that Ill never be enough for you because in truth I'm no one special

Just a girl falling for you

You seem miles away from me sometimes

Because I'm afraid now Ive starting falling for you

There will be no open arms to catch me when I finally reach the ground

To greet me when I'm finally fed up in this life I lead
