Be not nobody

You stumbled to the floor spitting at the point of life,
I watched you with an open eye as you pulled out the knife.
Your face was like the brightest light,
With two smeared eyes as dark as night.
Your jeans were cut and old and torn,
All I could do for you was to morn.
No one understood you but me,
As I watched you sit under the big oak tree.
Your books fell to the dusty floor,
Like a glass about to slowly pour.
Your dark blue sneakers caused you to slip,
Making blood trickle from your lower red lip.
You watched with envy at the perfect girls,
As they sat and combed their bright blond curls.
I cautiously went and sat next to you,
You stared at me while I stared at you too.
I heard you mutter something under the air,
Crying to me that life was unfair.
I whispered something in your ear,
Only hoping that you could hear.
I told you that if your life needed to mend,
I would always have a hand to lend.
Your dark night eyes shot out with sparks,
Your scars faded away and all that was left was marks.
I stared at the other girls who tried to follow the coolest trend,
And told you that at least we both have a friend!

i dedicate this poem to Sasha Pollock because she is the bes-test friend ever to walk in the face of the earth! LOVE YOU!
