Saying I love you never came so easy

As he leaned it to kiss me with his tender lips,
He pulled away and I could feel his heart pounding.

I opened my true eyes, just before he uttered the sweet words of honesty.

He kissed me gentle on my forehead, and then stumbled through the words I love you.

I had never been brought to this type of situation, but in result I said I love you too with no hesitation.

As he found my lips, I closed my eyes, for then I knew this was the truest love.
