Inspiration

I always wanted to write a poem.
But the words would never flow.
So many different ideas
so many things I wanted people to know

They didn't make sense
and were without meaning.
but I've tried for so long
that i think I was just dreaming

I knew there was something missing
but I just didn't know what
then I finally found out
its something I have never forgot

so I went home
and I tried once more
finally the words flowed
poring onto the floor

So many ideas
all became one.
They all made sense
I started to have fun

There was a special meaning
Behind every single letter
Ive come to realise that
as my words became better

That the one thing I was missing
i had finally found in you
something I had never felt before
this inspiration was trully new

It meant so much to me
for now my words are alive
not just lines on paper
but forever they'll survive

Suddenly the thought hit
that when my first inspiration came
was when I was looking into your eyes
and that first time you said your name

The power that I lacked within
I found flowing from your heart
It takes someone special to make a difference
and thats why from you I will never part
