Birthday girl Oh Sweet sixteen know more about this world then anything
you wouldn't believe what shes already went through
and at many of those times she was lost and confused
A kid her age died
and she finally realized
that we aren't immortal we someday die
and the thought it all makes her cry
A kid she knows lost both his parents in a car accident
and realized that driving isn't as cracked up as it seems to be
that you'll some day lose some one
you never thought would be gone
a couple of her close teen friends pregnant & one is due soon
and your not sure what you say or do
you try to be supportive and try to be there
but you cant tell how bad there hurting all they know is you care
Oh and get this her first true love she waited for forever to want her back
and she realized that he was such an ass
he didn't love her at least thats how it seemed
that all he wanted from her was her on her knees
Someone she trusted only because he was family hurt her more than you could know
put his hands where they didn't belong and after five long years the pain still shows
but the family doesn't care they're lost in their own selfish ways
they wont care about what happened to me until it happens to there kids one day
and on mothers day 3 ears ago i lost my grandma
and for my sixteenth birthday I got her sweet sixteen ring
we were never that close but I know I'm more like her than anything
from writing to art work Ive never been so close to her
& i know it seems like there was no good in my life but believe me there is
that I have the most perfect boyfriend who I always miss
yeah hes everything to me and more
he makes this hell on earth worth living for
