Got to pay the price of love

by {Pete}   Aug 13, 2006

My guitar has changed but the songs are the same,
that's what its like without you,
You have moved on, for right or for wrong,
But still, I want only you.

You might come back one day, and end my dismay,
But how strong can a heart hold on,
With time I'll find out, of that I've no doubt,
But the time in between is so long.

I cannot continue, whilst I'm still without you,
All of my doors seem shut,
And for you, its ok, you don't feel this way,
But for falling in love that's the cut.

A woman romantic, and a man not so frantic,
How come the tables should turn,
Now that you left, from you he's bereft,
But the fire in his heart will still burn.

I could just move on but it seems oh so wrong,
For where was the justice of love,
Its seems none is there, for I'm in despair,
A lot seems the price of my love.
