What about Me?

by NothingGoldCanStay   Aug 13, 2006

Pulsating voices,
Echo my ears.
The only thing stopping me,
Is the words from my pairs.

But my mind is set,
No where to run.
Except forward.
Just me and my gun.

Have you ever wondered if you would go back.
What would happen,
If you try so hard to be good and listen.
But time just speeds like a roller coaster- Strap in.

Trying to beat the clock with wise words from the Gods.
But no, I doubt you could make it
With just a book and mind?
Need a heart too, or might gain a fit.

I'm trying so hard,
Just to shut up and listen.
But everything is flooding in.
And it shows.. Starting to glisten.

Not like I don't try to be your friend.
And help you through things.
But sometime I need time by myself.
Because of the problem it brings.

A friend told me,
That all small problems
Would lead to a bigger one.
And there is a horror that follows them

So please bare with me because I'm losing it.
Hold your problems a moment and let me sleep a while.
So that maybe time would tell how it would work out.
...Wear my shoes and walk a mile.
