The World Will Go On

by Alexis Frank   Aug 13, 2006

The dark hills collide
as the innocent run to hide.
The end is near, they can tell
the smoke and pain they can smell.

The clouds, dark shapes they form
the shadows, on prey they swarm.
There is only one saving grace
the only one, an Angel's face.

Those that stop to see
are saved for eternity.
Others who never believed
are not otherwise received.

The ones left to fend
the hearts left to mend.
The world will go on
yes, the world will go on.
