Teal

by The Queen of Spades   Aug 14, 2006

Solemn, lying on the floor
Is a lovely, brazen heel
Mute but still beautiful
Like the girl wearing teal

She waits expectantly on a bed
For the owner to come and return
Yet every thought that passes by
Causes her stomach to churn

Tugging at only her garments
Teal, but barely there
She wonders what has become of her
What cruelties exist in this lair

Solemn, lying on the floor
Is her heart, her conscience, her soul
The used beneath her teal color
Once warm, is growing cold
