The Deluge

*** In the dimly lit room sits a soul,
too distant to even hear my call,
The darkness fills my heart,
and in the end i wake up with a start.
***

*** Drifting into these dreadful dreams,
i am always awakened by these screams,
The pain in my head fades away,
into the silence and the mind returns to its sway.
***

*** Insatiable and insensible am I,
and yet why do i strive to try?
Broken and bleeding,
the darkness misleading.
***

*** I am not profane ,
nor am i insane,
If someone has some time,
i could explain before the clock ends its chime.
***

*** Bound to this chain,
I\'m crying in pain,
My head starts spinning,
and i see lucifer winning.
***

*** In the well lit hall stands the ghost,
alone in life and with nothing to boast,
The light filling my eyes ,too bright,
but this time i\'m standing upright.
***

*** I call my friend for some comfort,
to save me from this discomfort,
but he/she does not have the time for me,
\"I\'ll talk to you later\",is what he/she says to me.
***

*** The mistakes that i made lie right in front of me,
But i\'m just so sure that it\'s all too late you see,
I valued my friends more than anything else,
But in their eyes i was just someone else.
***

*** But i\'ve made a vow,
that i would never let go,
that i would never give up,
even if the devil himself turns up.
***

*** I will always care for them,
For they are ,to me, more valuable than gems
The impact they have CREATED upon my life ,
is just too hard to describe.
***

*** In my mind i\'m confused,
These thoughts too hard to be diffused,
They clog my thoughts,
and my mind is barren like a land of drought.
***

*** Despair sinks within me,
Lord, are you even there to save me?
I\'m holding tight,
Please tell me what is right..................
