god died
we all watched him fall from the sky
in flames
landing in the grave we dug for him
legions followed after
lighting our paths in the dead of night
heaven is weeping and swallowing itself whole
we have no life to speak of and the departing of a soul
oh, god, the demise of mankind
falling to our knees
questioning what it is we have done
when forsaking god's one and only son
our wounds need healing, but healing hands have departed
leaving this world in peril and no hope for the broken hearted
god has passed
we felt his presence die along with him
the clouds now crying
our world left dying
