I had another dream mum
Grandpa says goodbye
I thought that it was real mum
Grandpa says try not to cry...

He wrote to me and told me
That he loved us dear
Then turned into an angel
Now i can't hold him near...

Why do i still dream of him
Wake up with pillows of tears
Why do i continue aching
After all these years...

Grandpa i miss you so much
I just want you back
So i can tell you stories
As i sit upon your lap...

I run to the mailbox smiling
In hope to find your name
Enscripted on the rear envelope
But every year it ends the same...

Just a bunch of other cards
From everyone but you
Another year older today
But you don't have a clue...

Grandpa I'm so sorry
That i couldnt say farewell
But you could have warned me
Before God put you under his spell
