"where You Are"

by Stephanie Ricks   Mar 6, 2004

It was so hard for them to walk away,
But no one seemed to see,
That as I left the hospital that day,
In my heart you were still with me.

Yet when I had returned home,
that feeling had suddenly changed.
When I walked into your room,
Everything looked so strange.

That night I cried myself to sleep,
But I had the most wonderful dream.
Of the most beautiful angle,
Harboring you within her wings.

So I now know where innocent souls rest,
Just beyond the endless valley of stars
The place that we all call heaven
I know my son its "Where You Are"
