Now we know that sacrifice
is honored and revered
because even the Man-God
Jesus Christ had to sacrifice
a broken heart and a broken spirit
now we know that sacrifice
is dearer to us
because all things are profound,
like love and passion
admit a sacrifice
now we know that sacrifice is easier
when it comes to the big things
because with respect to
the old things
we are often not equal
to making sacrifice.
now we know that sacrifice is a
sacred thing.
for even kings shower gold
and frankincense
to make their offering more fitting
