My Storm

by SomeonesAngel   Aug 15, 2006

Where you there last night, my love?
When thunder shook the trees,
Did you shout my name into the wind?,
And send your voice after me?

I found the flowers again, my love,
Petals drenched in the rain,
Thorns quenched with watery blood,
Each spike tainted with your pain.

Did you wait outside, my love?
Expecting me to come?,
When lightning lit up my bedroom,
To reveal that I had gone.

I had slipped away, my love,
Beneath the stormy sky,
Not running away from you precious,
It was you who I was trying to find.

I run out each night, my love,
And receive those roses you leave,
I wake up in a swear each night,
When reality became my dreams.

The flowers are real enough, my love,
Like the drops of rain,
the petals, white, stained with crimson,
Splattered with your pain.

I ran out again last night, my love,
And waited for you to show,
3 winters since the storm took you,
You passed away long ago.

Ill go out tonight my love,
And collect my roses as before,
Ill continue to hear you call my name,
For now and evermore.

(please be fair with comments i woke up the other night and had to write this down....weird poem i know but I'm very proud...hope you enjoyed!)
