She had just moved out on her own
A 1 bedroom apartment all for her
A cute girly home she made it
Looking so innocent and pure
She received many gifts from people
Laundry baskets, hangers, and knife sets
DVD’s, lamps, an iron
Many dishes for her dinette
There was one particular night
Where one of her gifts came in use
She was lying in bed trying to sleep
When she heard her lock become loose
Not fully awake she walked down the hall
To see a man wearing all black
It was only her fourth day in there
And here she was being attacked
He grabbed her hair and threw her down
She screamed “please take all I gotâ€
He said, “I only want your bodyâ€
She cried “please I’d rather not!â€
She ran all around her apartment
She had no place to go
He had her in the kitchen
And her energy was running low
“Sir I can give you all the money in the world
Please just bring no harm to me
I’ve done nothing to you ya know
Now can you just leave me beâ€
The man came charging at her
That must have made him mad
She never should have moved on her own
She should have listened to her dad
She looked nervously left and right
What could she use for protection?
There was nowhere to run now
He had cornered her in a section
Now he had pulled out his gun
Her heart fell to the floor
She prayed inside her head
“Be with me oh precious saviorâ€
He stepped closer and closer
Pointing the gun at her head
As her lips quivered she whispered
“What did I do to deserve to be dead?â€
She saw something stick out
From the corner of her eye
That knife set someone bought her
Which stopped all her cries
She knew she wouldn’t be charged
Since it would be self defense
She quickly grabbed it and stabbed his neck
Making all sorts of blood dispense
She stayed in her apartment
She didn’t want to show this made her weak
With a knife underneath her pillow
And in her heart a silent shriek
