Those Words I Longed to Hear

You've finally apologized,
You've finally said the words I longed to hear,
I just wanted so badly to hear you say,
"I'm sorry."

I counted the seconds after you said
those two words,
But I just want to go back,
And not hear what I heard.

I don't get you at all,
It's taken so long,
I had finally built up my walls,
And I thought I was so strong.

You left me alone and bleeding,

For me to accept any of this,
