we new everything about one another
we were so close just like sisters we'd say

we went on double dates
even went to prom together
no one never understood our friendship
and how important it was to us

but the one girl was too stunned
all she could do is sit in the Conner crying
her friend had tried to get her to go with her finally decided
she would stay
they both began praying
for gods protection
that they would all make it alright
as the boy came around the Conner they held hands
saying friends forever we
promised till the very end
suddenly the police came and the
boy dropped the gun
they were so happy to still be alive
as people came back into the school they suddenly all realized
what real friendship was about
because of the one girl risking her life for her very best friend
when she could have left her there to die alone
