Lost love

by Brian   Aug 16, 2006

I have no love left
only a sense of something lost
of a tiny piece thats missing
a feeling like a winters frost
my emotion's I have buried
deep within a hidden wall
unlikely to reemerge
unwilling to come back at all
my mind has now shut down
all my feelings and my thoughts
the things that make us human
the things that we're not taught
like how to deal with life
when everything goes wrong
when deep inside you want to die
but outside you must stay strong
so now I cruise along
just living day to day
not caring about my future
or the fact that I might stray
for love has done it's damage
it's changed the way I think
it chewed me up and spat me out
and drove me to the brink
so a lifetime may pass
before I fall in love for sure
for the pain that comes after
is not worth what goes before
