War, lazy, War, watch, War, careless...Australia;

Why does this world not see?
The destruction that happens,
Does the war need to hit our lands?
Before we take a stand!
While we sit on our chairs,
While we don't think twice,
While we do not care,
The world across the seas, are caught in a vice.
The pictures of bloody children,
The pictures of abused women,
The pictures of young boys with guns,
The pictures of the frightened who try to run...

Why don't they affect you?
Why do you sign up?

Collateral damage,
War,
Famine,
War,
Nuclear bombs,
War,
Army,
War,
Suicide,
War...

Are these words used so commonly that we have forgotten the meaning,
Or have you forgotten the meaning on purpose, so you can drown out the screaming.

The reason behind this poem is that I am an Australian and as an Australian I see our country become confused and overtaken. The media do no justice to what happens and the goverment denies any mistake... and as Australians we sit on our lazy A#%es, or actually join the army for "work experience"(B.S).
