WAR POEM

by tony   Aug 16, 2006

Marxsism,Socialism,Communism and now Bushism?

I see these four words
and something in me stirs
I can think only of Wars!

And what of the children?
Their perfect faces with bright eyes
tiny hands hold tightly the Mother
the child stares in simple disbelief
as the warplanes fly by, leaving America.

Another Child sees those planes
but the outcome is not the same
The noise is scary and thunderous
as stones and debris rain down
the Mother protected the child
but now she makes no sound
this child too stares in disbelief
tiny hands hold tightly the mother
another perfect face
eyes once bright
have faded

Awh, this was so sad.. I think you should have explained everything a bit more as it was all a bit hard to understand.. The idea was amazing though, and I am glad you wrote about it.. The flow is pretty good and the emotion was flowing from every line.. Nice job 5/5
