The Traveler

by Dani   Aug 16, 2006

A man set out on a journey one day
Across the fields across the way
On the road he walked at night
Over the mountains into the light

He walked on until one day
A stranger happened to pass that way
He told of the sorrows that lay ahead
On the road our man will tread

He thanked the man yet kept on walking
What he saw was rather shocking
Hate and death, tears and pain
Yet his journey was not in vain

His goal was heaven all love and glory
He made it there this was his story
His burden heavy till he passed the cross
Where his gain was Jesus' loss

With love Jesus took our pain
If he needed, He'd do it again
The traveler could be you or me
Anyone, don't you see?

The road is hard and some will fall
Yet in the end God's worth it all
