Am I really the only
Person who can see
What's happening?
What's going on behind
That fake, preppy smile?
Am I really the only person
Who can tell that behind those
Laughing, giggly eyes,
Is a girl that I once knew...
But I think that she died.
I haven't seen her in
Ages,
All I've seen are these
Fake, acted out faces.
Am I the only one who remembers her?
Who remembers the good, and yet all of that hurt?
She helped me out so much,
I never got to tell her thanks.
But maybe its too late,
Maybe I missed my chance.
Maybe there's something wrong with me,
Maybe it's something I am blind to,
Something I just can't see.
Maybe i'ts my fault,
Maybe because I know behind
Those brown eyes
Are her real ones, staring out at the world,
Unable to say a word.

I'm not a complete shadow yet.

I miss that girl,
