Scars

by Sweet Tart   Aug 16, 2006

You were never true and honest,
Even though I thought I could trust you,
And every time that I started to-
The new scars I could always see.

Every time I thought you had changed,
Every time I thought you had learned,
Every time I thought you had stopped,
And promised you would never do it again,
You lied -
Because the new scars I could always see.

You acted so loving and kind,
But I have learned to put that behind -
Because the new scars I could always see.
