here's the letter that I meant
to send to you a year or two ago
Revised and rewritten so many times --
should it be sent?
Right now I am unwinding from a semester on the edge
& taking in the words of wisdom
of one like me
who's been there & back again
& some strange places in between.

But enough about my problems,
