I PRAYED

I Prayed

One of my friends
Just passed away
I've cried and cried
Asking why he couldn't stay.

He was too young
He shouldn't have died.
I took out his picture
And cried, and cried.

I prayed the LORD
His soul to keep.
I prayed that he
Would peacefully sleep.

I prayed his family
Would be ok
Then I asked again
Why he couldn't stay.

I got no answer
I got no sign
But I knew that Cesar
Would be just fine.

He's with God
Now he's ok.
Forever and ever
For him I'll pray.

I prayed the Lord
His soul to keep
May he rest in peace.
May he calmly sleep.

    Awww, this reminds me of my friend who died just over a year ago now. At the time i couldnt comprehend why he was gone either but i know now he was too good for this world. Great poem, well done
