In a time of pure embarrassment,
Pain,
Sorrow,
Shock,
Disbelief,
and disappointment,
You were there to cry with me,
You cried on my shoulder,
while I on yours,
You wiped away my tears while I wiped yours
You never judged me ever,
You stuck up for me when I was weak,
And you were unbelievably strong,
when i felt destroyed and meek.
And you were there to comfort me.
You were on the phone,
To calm me and listen to my sobs.
You were there to assure me that things would be fine,
No matter how terrible things were,
You helped me dodge the nasty comments thrown around,
And lent a helping hand when you weren't even involved.
You helped me back up when i melted down.
The wounds so deep
were not as bad,
and in a time of need
you were there.
You were a person there to see me through all my sins.
I cannot begin to thank you enough,
and it makes me smile when you just shrug and simply say,
"that's what friends are for."
