The ballad of the kitchen (short story)

by Anna La Fleur   Aug 17, 2006

How do u feel about your kitchen? most of you probably don't have any strong feelings about your kitchen, others will probably understand what I'm talking about. my kitchen has put me on a diet. it looks like your everyday kitchen, but its not, it's haunted. and the floor is just one huge scale that screams in binary code "she's too fat, get rid of the food, keep her away" the fridge of course is the first to respond, i have to fight with it to get it open, and when i finally get in, it's eaten everything i wanted. next is of course the microwave, every time without fail, every single time i try to make popcorn it burns. worst of all the appliances is the dishwasher, it's teamed up with the cabinets to keep the dishes unusable. i never have any clean dishes. I'll open the dishwasher to unload it and theres stuff all over the dishes, i don't have an issue with the plates and stuff on the bottom rack, but the cups have decided that I'm not allowed to drink.
one little tip to make life easier, always blame the inanimate object, it wont speak up to defend itself.
