I hate you now

by Perfectly Imperfect   Aug 17, 2006

You messed with head; you told me you would always care
Everywhere we went, we were always a pair
We were never going out, no, youâ??re my brother
I would never have swapped you for another
We were never friends, and then we were so strong
Nothing ever happened that made our friendship go wrong
We werenâ??t only family, but the best of friends too
I was stupid enough to think your love was true

I hate you now, die
I hate you now, cry

I cried on your shoulder, and then you cried on mine
The months went by, and everything was fine
I met all your friends, and got on well with them
You met some of mine, and they told me youâ??re a gem
My friends were very wrong, they donâ??t know the real you
You lied to me, to everyone; no-one wanted someone new
I always wanted your love, so when it came I took it without looking back
I wish I could see the future, I wish I saw what was coming down the track

I hate you now, die
I hate you now, cry

I was so stupid, to trust you without looking twice
I guess now that we arenâ??t friends, I have paid the price
You are not, who you really say you are
With your lies and fake personality you have got so far
Well my brother, you can try and get my love
But all my care for you, is flying away like a dove
Once upon a time, I really cared for you, or who you once were
But now, the old you and the memories, are starting blur

I hate you now, die
I hate you now, cry
