The Notebook

Can you see me looking at you
As you walk past me
Do you know how much
I wish we could be

I watched you in class
as I was writing in my notebook
I was trying to hide it
So noone would look

So, I ripped out the page
Those big hearts; inside your name
I flip through the notebook
And find every page the same

Accidentally I dropped it
As you were walking by
You picked it up
And looked me in the eye

Is this me? you asked
All I could do was laugh
When I dropped it
I didn't expect you to pass

I nodded my head and you looked at me
You asked why I hadn't told you
I said that I was embarrassed
but that it was all very true

He said meet me at the fountain
In the front of the school
I went there after classes ended
and I hope I wasn't a fool

You came and said you'd always loved me
And that you had kept it a secret
We are still together
I have not a single regret

Except maybe how long I kept it to myself
But now we love each other
Now we're a perfect couple
And I'll never go to another
