Afraid to love
Because of rejection

Frightened to be loved
Because of possible evil intention

Like a mermaid, I am made to be
As a mermaid my heart will run cold as the sea

Try to find true love
And in secret I prove gentle as a dove

They have all taken for granted
Knowing it was not what I wanted

To be rid of my fins
