Fingerprints

by myshiningstar14   Aug 17, 2006

Once touched by love,
you become forever
changed.

Lingering memories,
in a world so cold, still
in you they hold.

Tender words, that spread
like burning fire, and in
you this lonely desire.

This feeling comes.

The fingerprints
left on your heart,
imprinted forever,
slipping through like a
poem effortlessly read.

I love that stanza right there...definitely in my opinion, the best of the writing. I said it before, and before that, you literally stitch emotion into every line. You're an emotional writer, and I like that...I try to be like that as much as possible, and I like seeing other people pull it off as well as you.

    Again, great poem
