Angel On the Way

An Angel came to me today
To give me a little lift
I was feeling lonely
and my heart was doing flips.

I was awake all night
In darkness, I did pray
That God would hear me calling
And send someone to stay.

It wasn't just a needy plea
When I asked for hope
Just someone to be here
While I tried to cope.

You see, I felt so helpless
Living life from day to day
without his loving arms
That I'd lost along way.

So when I rose this morning
I felt so differently
The sorrow I felt yesterday
Left from inside of me.

An Angel came to me today
And wrapped me in her care
All I had to do was ask
And god made sure that one was there.
