What Is It About You??

Alone and contemplating life,
Wishing you were here...
Knowing that you can't be,
But you still feel so near...
My mind wanders endlessly
No method to my thoughts
Reflecting on the last few weeks,
And all the joy you've brought...
My inspiration and my muse
For many varied prose
There have been others, I admit
It's just the words, I suppose...
But I have to wonder as I ponder
What it is about your mere existance
That clouds my mind, disturbs my thoughts
With such complete persistance...
Is it the way you make me laugh,
Or the things you say that make me blush?
What IS it about you,
That gives me such a heady rush?
I'll probably never know exactly
But I go all school-girl like inside
Each time we speak to one another,
Don't I have any pride??
To tell these things to you,
I must be out of my mind!
I hope we'll always be mates
And I'll never get left behind... :)
