Swinging in the rain

Lost in confusion
so much delusion
hiding behind a fake face
lost in this dreary place

not knowing who I am
not knowing which ways up or which ways down
plain faces all around

swinging in the rain
singing in the rain
crying in the rain
praying in the rain

so happy to be all alone
so happy to be knocked off my wanna be throne
cried for the first time in a long while in front of God not having to fake a smile

they always ask me if I'm ok
I give them a big smile and look away hiding the tears wrapped up deep inside
not wanting to let go of my pride

wanting with all thats within me to seek His face
begging to be shown His amazing grace

not even being that sad
just really desperate
to know who I am
to praise Jesus and bring honor to His name

I'm begging you God
don't let me be the same
don't let me be a face plastered into life's empty frame

bring me closer forever more
teach me tears are alright
just in the night when I'm with you thats all I can do thank you Jesus

singing praying and listening to me pour my heart out and cry in the rain
