Take Me As I Am

I stand before you naked, can't you see?
I am covered in cuts, scars, and bruises.
Will you look at me in disgust?
Will you ask what every mark is from?
Will you wrap me in you arms?
Will you tell me I am loved?
Will you love me for who I am?
I would love to have you tell me that everything is going to be alright.
I can hope you will take me as I am.
But I know in the back of your mind.
You will wonder what the hell I am.
I stand here with my head hung low.
Will you lift it up and tell me it's all right?
Will you wrap me in your love?
Will you bath me in your warmth?
Or will you be the next open wound on my naked soul?
Tell me now so I may know.
