When He Left

When he left she wanted to die
When he left she wanted to cry
When he left she wanted to scream
She was hoping it was all a dream

When he left she didn't watch TV
She just sat and complained to me
She would complain about school,
and love, and life, and how she was a fool

She told me she wanted to have him back
And he'd make up for the things she lacked
When he left it was tragic
The love they had had been magic

He loved her more than anything
The love of his life
They barely ever yelled
And never had a fight

When he left she died inside
And she's still like that to this day
Her whole world turned upside down
The day he passed away
